Sunsets and sunrises are beautiful when you're sitting on your backyard porch, but they can be an extra danger when you're driving. Glare from the sun can make driving nerve-wracking or simply give you a headache from squinting. But there are some things that you can do to make yourself more comfortable and safe.

One of the most obvious things to do is to use your visor. It can cut down on the amount of light that hits your eyes. Just pull it down so that the orb of the sun is no longer in your line of vision.

You should also invest in a pair of polarized sunglasses. Or you can even buy two pairs so that you can keep one in the car and still have another to carry with you elsewhere. Not only do polarized lenses reduce glare, but they also increase clarity and contrast, letting you see objects more clearly.
